A Hunting Trip from 5th Grade

One day in Victoria, TX we were in a dry field where birds swarmed around a small lake. All of a sudden they began to get shot down one by one. This was the best hunting trip I ever had.
My father and I left around six a.m. to get a head start on our journey. On the way, not a bird was spotted. It was so silent it seemed like life hadn't existed for years. When we arrived at our destination we set up our supplies and equipped ourselves with the appropriate weapons.
