Why Is the Resurrection Central to the Christian Faith?

The life, death and resurrection of Christ is what created the Christian religion and separates it from the Jewish faith. Whilst Christians believe and accept Christ as the Son of God and their saviour, Jews do not. However it is not the life of Jesus Christ that is central to the faith - but his death and resurrection.
