Thirteenth Article of Amendment to the Constitution for the United States

The confederates liked this article because it would make the economy in the two halves of the United States more equal. Lincoln used it tactical to take reasons from the confederates away to split the country up. Because it takes free worker away from the north people they did not like it.
After it passed all slaves were free if they had a work and were not in jail because someone found them doing nothing. The south people cheered and got back a little of their trust into their government.
