Characterization is what ignites a piece of literature and allows it come to life in the mind of the reader. The characters of the novel To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee greatly enhanced the good and evil colors of Maycomb and the people that live there.
Arthur "Boo" Radley is a recluse who never sets foot outside of his house, Boo grabs the imaginations of Scout, Jem and Dill. He is a powerful symbol of goodness, he leaves little presents for Scout and Jem. Boo gives the children many hours of amusement, they reenact his whole life in a play they act out daily.
