Academic Writing: My Views and Experience

Academic Writing is one of the most important subjects in our course program, because it teaches clear, coherent writing according to all rules, it teaches how to catch readers’ attention and make them read and believe the author. During this term of Academic Writing subject we have learned quite a lot, but the main themes were writing different types of essays, avoiding plagiarism and writing reference list.
The greatest part of our lessons was devoted to different types of essays. We have learned how to write a report, paraphrasing, summarizing, evaluation of the web site, how to create an effective questionnaire. All these skills will be very helpful when writing my future term papers and my bachelor paper. Although, from all the types I found evaluation of the web site and report writing the most interesting, because they allow more creativity and because tare the only types, in which I can present the information graphically or use pictures as examples.…
