Overall from my research most factors or evidence for support for causes of alcoholism mainly are pointed back to genetic factors. There have been a lot of studies dealing with this topic, and there have been too many incidents proving a relationship between alcoholism and genetics. Then on the other hand environmental factors normally play a role in a lot of these studies, and then there are a lot of people claiming that these are the reasons for alcoholism. Still, no real hardcore facts prove that alcoholism is solely caused by genetics or vise versa, but there is support on both sides of the discussion to be able to make a good argument. I feel that alcoholism is caused by genetics, but I don't think that genetics is the only cause. Until someone can truly show support claiming either or we will just have to continue looking through research trying to figure out just how everything works.…
