Censorship is a supervision system of the mass media and press. More than three centuries ago Caspar Stieler argued for a state monopoly and censorship of the press to prevent newspapers from spending “false and mocking” news that could “mislead, anger and deceive a simple man”.
Censorship is as an appendix. In a passive condition it is useless, in active it is dangerous.
