Would going to war with Iraq be Vietnam all over again? This question is an on going debate among scholars and politicians across the world. To understand the answer to this question we must look at what Vietnam really was, and how it relates to the Iraq situation of today. In the following paper I will take you into the jungles of Vietnam and show you truly why we fought in Vietnam and the results of this war upon our country. Then I will share with you the Iraq situation the United States is facing. After we have a better understanding of the relationship of Vietnam compared to Iraq; we shall find it much easier to see what United States should do with its current situation.
