Excretory System
The excretory system includes the organ nephridia. Every segment of an earthworm except for the first three and the last one contain a pair of this organ. Each nephridia contains a small funnel and a long, coiled tube. The coiled tube leads to a bladderlike sac in the coelom. The cilia inside the funnel cause a wavelike motion that pushes waste through the tubes. The usable material that is pushed in to the tube diffuse into small capillaries that surround it. Once the waste products are in the bladderlike sac they are excreted through small pores on the worm.
