Economic and Social Aspects of Globalization: Technology

It is hard to define organizations that are involved in technological progress and it’s effect on globalization because almost all institutions have more or less integration in it. Firstly, there are companies that provide us with IT, IBM, Microsoft, Apple; secondly – coordination institutions like CANN that is responsible for the coordination of the global Internet's systems of unique identifiers and also government and international monitoring institutions.
In conclusion, technology plays a significant role in the whole global development, linking together not only regions, but the whole world. It changes the business environment and the information amount that we can receive. But this aspect has a huge challenge to deal with – security and privacy issue that can lead not only to a threat for individuals, but also to huge political and financial scandals as we could see it in the case of Wikileaks and hacking attempts.
