In conclusion, geoengineering has its pros and cons and ways how to implement it. Carbon reduction methods focus on solving the main issue that is CO2 emissions. CO2 reduction methods are not cheap and takes a lot of time to develop. On the contrary solar radiation management method which involves the stratosphere being injected with sulphates is a faster and cheaper way to possibly cool the Earth. However, less is known what will exactly happen when the layer is deployed. Stratosphere injections with sulphates should not thrown out the window. Rather sulphate injections should be carefully researched and consensually implemented to reduce the risk of disaster. For these reasons I think geoengineering should be pursued. …
