The title of this reading, The Way We Really Are: Coming to Terms with America's Changing Families, turns out to be false advertising. After reading the text, it became increasingly apparent to me that the title is masking a suppressed feminist encouraging her views on females in the workforce. However, the opinions and statements made were backed by overwhelming evidence, proving the basis of the material was indeed accurate and unbiased. Mothers and wives will continue to seek work in an environment other than the home regardless of social opinion; partly because of the increased leverage it gives them in the family. Some families may have to work around this change in position of the female; marriages may also have to adjust. Life is all about changes and how we adapt to them.…
