Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Today I will talk about the renewal of natural resources. I have divided my speech into 3 parts. First I’ll tell you what natural resources are, then I’ll move on to renewable natural resources and finally I’ll look at non-renewable natural resources. I’ll be happy to answer your questions after my speech.
Now, let’s move onto the first part of my speech.
Everything that people recognized as valid is resources. Almost all naturally occurring - wind, water, rocks, soil, forests, even the rural landscape - regarded as resources. Many of our natural resources are usable in industry. However, materials become resources only if people have found their use. For example, Rubberwood existed long before the juice - known as latex - was first used in the manufacture of tires and raincoats. The resources may be used only if the acquisition is less expensive than the materials themselves. Tin now is used much less than before, since its getting has become too expensive and it can often be replaced with aluminum. Nowadays, thanks to the new natural resource extraction and processing technology, usage of them has significantly increased. So, many resources could be exhausted.
