I visited a paintings exhibition in the “Nelly” gallery of art. This gallery is located in Old Riga.
The first impressure was left upon me by the very kind gallery keeper which kindly showed and accompanied me where to go. When I entered the room where all the paintings were exhibited my eyes dazzled of all the bright colours that were used.
In the gallery at this time the works of a promising paintress Anna Peipiņa were exibited. Her pieces are very bright and colourful but they seemed quite congeneric to me. A. Peipiņa has two main kinds of paintings – still-lifes and very bright colour settings with very dominating greens.
I did not like her works very well although I am a layman in art and maybe do not understand something.…
