"The French Lieutenant’s Woman" by John Fowles

The French Lieutenant’s Woman is a novel by John Fowles, and it was written in 1969. John Fowles is a famous English novelist and essayist of the 20th century. The novel was inspired by the 1823 novel Ourika by Claire de Duras, which Fowles translated to English.
