Their beginning was on the 13th of September and closing on the 1st of October . People organize the Olympic Games one time in three years . The first Olympic Games were in 1896 . Tradicions of these competitions are very old . They came from Ancient Greece . There the best athletes took part in competitions in honour of greek gods and goddesses .
