Analysis of the Text "The English"

The text The English informs the reader of people living in the United Kingdom. It speaks of the English as a mixed culture, and gives a detailed description of life in London. The text appears in a book which is a study material for first year students of English Philology and is a part of the second unit, which concentrates on England and the English. I think that the goal of the author is to educate people who have not been born and raised in the United Kingdom.
