The eurozone consists of those Member States of the European Union that have adopted the euro as their currency. All European Union Member States are part of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and coordinate their economic policy-making to support the economic aims of the EU. Estonian 2€ coin – 100 years of Baltic states This bimetallic coin commemorates the 100 years since the independence of the Baltic states and is commonly issued with Latvia and Lithuania. These coins have the same design, with the difference of the name of the issuing country. The three Baltic States are represented symbolically by a braid. They are united by their history: a shared past, present and future. A stylized figure represents the 100th anniversary, together with the shields of the three Baltic States. On the left is the name of the issuing country, "EESTI" (Estonia), "LATVIJA" (Latvia) and "LIETUVA" (Lithuania), on the right, the year of issue, "2018". On coin’s edge is written "O" and "E E S T I" repeated alternately upright and inverted. This coin was designed by Justas Petrulis and the mintage of them are 500,000 pieces
German 2 € coin - 25 years of German Unity The Federal Government decided on 4 June 2014 to issue a 2- euro commemorative coin "25 years of German unity" in January 2015. The coin commemorates the reunification of Germany, marking the 25th anniversary. The formal unification of Germany into a politically and administratively integrated nation state officially occurred on 18 January 1871 at the Versailles Palace's Hall of Mirrors in France. Princes of the German states gathered there to proclaim Wilhelm of Prussia as Emperor Wilhelm of the German Empire after the French capitulation in the Franco-Prussian War. The center of the coin depicts a group of people standing in the foreground, the embodiment of a new beginning and the progress towards a better future, and in the background the Brandenburg Gate, symbol of German unity and around them is written "WIR SIND EIN VOLK" which translates to “we are one people”.
