1. The National Hospitals Office (NHO) has made hygiene a priority since its inception. The audit should clearly identify anything that affects cleanliness, identify cleanliness issues that affect cleaning ability. Audit should identify gaps that need to be addressed and include them in the annual cleaning services plan. All areas should be clean, tidy and well-maintained, free of rust and free blood or body substances, dust, dirt, debris and spills. The environment and equipment should be clean and free from offensive odours.
