Author first looks on economic and political integration development from establishment of the EC time to signing the Maastricht Treaty; and brings the citizens’ attitude to the EU by depicting the voters assent until the late 1980s as tacit assent and after ratification of the Maastricht Treaty not anymore as obvious.
