Globalization is a process by which regional economies, societies, and cultures have become integrated through a globe network of communication and trade. Economical globalization refers to the removal of barriers between national borders in order to facilitate the flow of goods, capital, services and labor.
Anti-globalization is the term used to describe political groups that oppose neoliberal version of globalization. The participants stand in opposition to the unregulated political power of large, multi-national corporations. They call for democratic global integration which protects humans' rights.
Globalization was held in three waves at different periods:
1) The end of the 19th century – beginning of the 20th century;
2) The beginning of 20th century – 1980’s;
3) 20th century, the end of 1990’s – present time.
