Eysenck's Personality Theory
Eysenck was a hugely influential figure in
psychology. At the time of his death in
1997, he was the most frequently cited
psychologist in scientific journals.
Eysenck
proposed a theory of personality
based on biological factors, arguing that
individuals inherit a type of nervous
system that affects their ability to learn
and adapt to the environment.
