Jean Marzollo is a children’s author and illustrator. Born in 1942, she has written over 130 books, including the best-selling award-winning I SPY series for children. Marzollo was born and raised in Manchester, her parents is Richard and Ruth Martin. She is a graduate of Manchester High School, the University of Connecticut and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is married to Claudio Marzollo, a retired who has co-authored some of her children’s science fiction and fantasy books. Author says „Children are never boring. Whenever I get suck for an idea, I visit a classroom and talk to the kids. When I write to stories for „39 Kids on the Block”, I draw on my childhood memories and my experiences in schools today.”
