In the near future new inventions are expected to be patented in fields of quantum technology, language technology (artificial intelligence) and cyberphysical systems that connect computers to physical devices. The biggest dream of latvian inventors is to create a car that drives by itself, while being aware of what’s happening on the road from the sensors and controling itself.
Conclusion:
Latvia without a doubt has proven itself as the land that lives and breathes technology and innovation. Looking back on these successes, it is a pleasure to realize that a generation of innovators is now emerging in Latvia: no matter if it’s amber threads, unique drugs like Mildronate and the anticancer drug Rigvir or the unmanned autonomous aircraft AirDog.
