Фрагмент работы

The Australian Government also provides unemployment benefits and social security pensions to the aged, the disabled, widows, and single parents. Family allowances are paid to parents with dependent children. Despite this support system, poverty is a condition shared by many. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of children live in poverty.
For poor families in Taiwan, their main source of income is also from the government, which include medical benefits from National Health Insurance (17.47%) and other benefits (16.02%). Social assistance (i.e. means-tests for the elderly and the low-income families) is about 10 percent of their household income. Poor households rely heavily on income provided by the Taiwanese government.
Therefore, as a developed country currently in a boom Australia is perceived as the wealthier country in as aspects of economic growth, the quality of life, environmental quality and Government subsidies in comparison with the developing Taiwan economy that is currently in recession.
