Фрагмент работы

The term “geomatics” is now more commonly used than “land surveying” in the industry. Land surveyor is one of the world’s oldest profession. Geomatics is the science and study of spatially related information and is particularly concerned with the collection, manipulation and presentation of the natural, social and economic geography of the natural and built environments. Land/geomatics surveyors measure and collect data on specific areas of land. Once the data is interpreted, it is used for a variety of purposes. Land surveyor is needed to:
To determine the boundaries of a property being sold or bought
Estate planning
Settle disputes
Construction planning
Install a fence
To divide a parcel of land into two or more lots on an existing road or with the creation of a new road
To prepare site plans for submission to town Boards
Historical Research
Accident Investigation (Insurance)
Contract Compliance
If we are talking about work conditions than working hours are mainly nine to five, but this can vary depending on location and whether the work is based overseas. Weekend or shift work may sometimes be required. There are currently more male employees than female in this area. A surveyor, when practicing according to the true nature of surveying, is ever seeking the truth, whether in measurement or in boundary location. Consequently, learning and applying the measurement science and the legal and other principles of boundary retrenchment develops character.
The land surveyor is often an integral part of a professional team, which could include attorneys, engineers, architects, planners, wetland specialists and landscape architects.
