Euro
Sometimes people ask to each othe why do we needed Euro. Does it give us benefits.
Some of the scholars answer that there are some reasons why Euro has advantiges but
also still a lot of disadvantiges it have.
First we can speak about advantiges:
1. Both consumers and firms are able to make significant savings in the cost of transactions
within the Euro-zone, leading to the development of Europe wide markets for goods and services as a result of not having to convert currencies. This is will help also many poor regions of Europe.
2. Firms within the Euro zone are already finding it easier and cheaper to raise money to
invest, enabling businesses to improve their competitiveness on the world markets.
3. The introduction of the € was already demonstrating savings for business in reducing the cost of transactions between member Euro-zone states. The € give the possibility to the several different countries to be lumped together without conversion and deposited in the
highest interest earning country.
4. Clearer and better information on input costs and competitors prices enable improved
opportunities for long term planning and strategy formulation, as there will be less uncertainty concerning prospective returns on foreign EU operations.…
There are a lot of ideas why the euro was introduced. Some people say that the euro was created because a single currency offers many advantages and benefits over the previous situation where each Member State had its own currency. Not only a fluctuation risks and exchange costs eliminated and the single market strengthend ,but the euro also means closer co-operation among Member States for a stable currency and economy to the benefit at all. The single currency brings new opportunities arising from the integration of the euro-area economy, making the single market more efficient. Because the euro , the need to exchange currencies meant extra costs, risks and a lack of transparency in cross-effective and less risky. In my mind a single currency makes the euro area an attractive region for third countries to do business , promoting trade and investment. For most EU countries today, the majority of international trade is with other EU members.
