Inventiveness, quick wit and ingenuity are the qualities adherent to the nature of noble people. At least it should be this way. Because they, who direct affairs and rule sway the destines, are educated and superior to those who are beyond their comprehension. Doubtlessly, they wage wars, and make money, and search for more gold – that is the supreme destiny of those whose life is a mere fun and absolute calm. Why is it so and not the other way? “…because it’s in the breed…all kings is mostly rapscallions.”1
“We’ve got them on our hands, and we got to remember what they are and make allowances. Sometimes I wish we could hear of a country that’s out of kings.”2 So ardent and sincere wish on the part of Huck, the common boy who “didn’t want to go to school much” and who “was used to being where he was and liked it”3, could still not perceive the greed and avarice of people in concern of their money, property and niggers as well that actually were their property.…
