In Canada the court system basically is divided in 4 levels: provincial/territorial courts, provincial/territorial superior courts and Federal Court which both are on the same level. On the next level are provincial/territorial courts of appeal and Federal Court of the Appeal. And Supreme Court of Canada is situated at the highest level in Court System of Canada.

PROVINCIAL/TERRITORIAL COURTS
Each province and territory except Nunavut has it’s own provincial/territorial court. These courts hear cases involving either federal or provincial/territorial laws. Provincial/territorial courts deal with most criminal offences, family law matters, young persons in conflict with the law, traffic violations and such.
Some courts at this level are dedicated exclusively to particular types of offences or groups of offenders. For example, the Drug Treatment Court. …
