"But I'm a Cheerleader" is a movie about a gay cheerleader whose family has her taken to a camp that "cures" gay teenagers by teaching them how to live within their accepted gender roles in a heterosexual relationship. This film violates the Hayes Production Code by showing a homosexual relationship when the code states "correct standards of life" should be presented and "law, natural or human, shall not be ridiculed, nor shall sympathy be created for its violation."
