The tragedy is a successful breakthrough in Shakespeare’s dramatic growth; the playwright achieved dramatic and at the same time elegant mentality in this work through his magnificent images of the characters’ struggle with two arguing dominances: moral uprightness and the urge to repay his father’s murder.

That is a bleak fact for Hamlet himself. Of course, it is not a suicide. In the play Shakespeare needed to come up with an evil character, a villain that desires success, and has the ability to get what he wants and whenever he wants. The character would also have to contain some good qualities, such as generosity and regret. These good qualities make the character seem more human. Claudius is the character described above.
