Good morning everyone. Today I am going to talk to you about our lives. About the determinations we make for ourselves to improve our lifetime. I have divided my speech into three parts – in the first part I will tell you about a very common celebration for us – the New Year. In the second part I will pass over to the effect that it makes on us and I will mention some advantages and disadvantages of it as well. And finally in the third part I will state my opinion and experience about meeting the New Year.
Now let`s move to the first part of my talk. This day. Tomorrow. The day after tomorrow. Yesterday. A week. These all are words that clarify time. Every day we use these words and we live in each of them. The days turn into weeks. The weeks change into months. And finally we have gathered a whole year. We can count years as well but to do that we need to have a point of reference which we do – it`s the night between the thirty-first of December and the first of January – better known as the New Years night. As we celebrated the New Year not too long ago I guess we all still remember the sweet excitement that goes throughout us when the seconds are counted from ten to one and we finally meet the New Year.
