Understanding the context, subject, ideas, thoughts of the text: I enjoyed reading this book though I don’t think I’ll be acquainting myself with other works of Jane Austen because the themes aren’t what I enjoy reading about on a daily basis. In my opinion I understood the text quite well, but I do think that if I were to reread this book I’d learn and notice many things. The main idea of the book is how you can’t be led by only sense or sensibility, that a person has to try to find a balance between the two. The idea that is more on the nose is how you can’t trust people completely right off the bat because it can leave you very hurt like it did Marianne and also Elinor who didn’t know of Edwards engagement at the start.…
