Book Review - Richard D.Winter "BeyoWar Memories of Major Dick Winters"
On the whole, the book is well written and held my interest as a person interested in history. I finished it in a week’s time, and probably would have read it through if given the time. I would recommend it to anyone with further interest in more about Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. I would also recommend this to be read by current service members who are in command of troops or may be in command one day, from fire team leaders all the way up to Generals. The book is about WWII, in Europe (Germany, France, Holland and other European country) Story take place in two continents: North America and Europe (eastern and central regions). As the American army moves from their homeland to the Europe, Author describes many places from their own Houses and farms, to training camps, war territories and so on.…

The book is about WWII, in Europe. On D-Day, Dick Winters parachuted into France and assumed leadership of the Band of Brothers when their commander was killed. He led them through the Battle of the Bulge and into Germany, by which time each member had been wounded. They liberated an S.S. death camp from the horrors of the Holocaust and captured Berchtesgaden - Hitler's alpine retreat
