In Latvia the organization responsible for the geodetic networks is Latvian Geospatial Information Agency (LGIA). They operate in compliance with By-law of the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency - Regulation No. 384 of Cabinet of Ministers . The supervision of the agency has the Ministry of defense. Their area of responsibility is set with Geospatial Information Law , specifically Section 12, Paragraph five, Section 17, Paragraph three and Section 18, Paragraph two of this law.
