Dominant languages destroy the languages of small nations.For example if parents no longer pass on their language to their children the connection between grandparents and children is lost which leads to traditional values not being handed .It happened to my family. My parents met each other in Latvia about 35 years ago. My Dad is Lithuanian, and my mother is Latvian, but she spoke Russian because she lived in Latvia and there was a Communism regime..
