The number of 3G-subscribers rose enormously up to 3.05 million, which with no doubt was due to the launch of "FOMA" and the new 900i-handsets. The company even prognoses this figure to reach 10.6 million by 2005 whereas the 2G-subscriber number should go down by 13.5% to 37.1 million. The net profit more than tripled in the past fiscal year to 4.9 million euros and at the end April 2004 they had 45.9 million customers, which account for 56.3% of the total Japanese mobile phoning market. By 2005 47.4 million customers are forecasted.
