In 1853 railway tycoon Comodorre Cornelius Wanderbilt ate dinner in “Saratoga Springs” restaurant, in New York, and he wasn’t content with potatoes. He ordered to give potatoes back to head cook, because potatoes was too thick. Head cook became angry and he cut potatoes very thin like paper, boiled them in hot oil and salted them.
