A critical evaluation of report
This section provides a critical evaluation of report. The objective of this analysis is to reveal whether the correct methodology has been chosen, and have research objectives been met.
An initial questionnaire has positive and negative aspects as well. Firstly, to ensure that questionnaire is correct, understandable and appropriate, it was useful that I launched a pilot test. It is crucial factor if questionnaire is self-administered. It could be criticised that I have not provided detailed explanation how it affected research approach. Secondly, sampling method needs to be discussed. I could provide more detailed information about chosen sampling method, size and population. Thirdly, it is positive outcome that I have calculated the response rate as it helpful tool how to evaluate the reliability of research. As the response rate is quite high findings are more accurate as well. On the other hand, there was not information whether all collected questionnaires were completed and useful or not. The reason why it has not been done, it that all of them where filled in correctly. The questionnaire design was appropriate in terms of research objectives. I have provided good explanation about qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. It is suitable that I have pointed out data collection errors what will useful for the research papers in the future.
In order to improve confidence in findings and secondary research to be more correct and detailed it would be useful to use mixed methodology as the credibility of research findings is one of the main issues of any report. For example, if I would have an opportunity again, I would use individual interviews or focus groups. On the other hand, as the main objective of this study is to examine current management styles at BBGR Ltd, approached data collection method has provided detailed and necessary results. In general report is well structured and the research objectives have been met.
